Reading
Today we are reading Chapter 7 – Calcutta to Hong Kong on Zoom. Please join us.
The task today is to summarise the events of chapter 7 in 5 bullet points. Make sure the important points are covered and they are in chronological order (the order they happened in the chapter).
Writing
Over the next week, we will be writing a diary entry. To begin, you should look at an example of a diary, paying close attention at the use of the past tense, vocabulary and chosen grammar. Try also, to find an example of the perfect form. We looked at the perfect form before Christmas. Remember, it’s when you use a past tense verb and had, so the boy had spent his money quickly; the child had voiced her opinion, etc.
If you don’t have a printer, please write out a list of past tense verbs, are there any perfect form past tense verbs? Pick out any vocabulary you think is appropriate for a diary. Can you see the ‘steps’ I have used to create the diary?
Geography
Today in Geography you are going to learn about the ‘invisible’ lines that split up the Earth. After reading through the information please can you then draw and label these lines of the Earth task.
