Phonics
We will be looking at the “ie” digraph in Phonics. I will be hosting a Zoom Phonics lesson at 10.00am and going through this with you then.
Please have a pen and paper ready for the Zoom Phonics lesson.
Writing
Today we will be planning our Katie in London story. You need to think about where Katie and Jack go in each part of the story and what they did when they were there.
I have put an example in the first box for you to use. If you need to, listen to the story again to help you.
Maths
Today we will be learning to partition numbers to 50. I want you to have a go at this practically before we move onto the written work tomorrow. Watch this video that explains how we partition numbers to 50 by looking at how many tens, and how many ones.
Once you have watched the video, load up the random number generator. You will be choosing a random number between 0 and 50, then representing it in the place value chart.
You will need some equipment for this lesson. You need to use something taller to represent a 10, and something smaller to represent a one. Pasta and raisins is great for this. You could also use Lego (stacked in 10s and individual 1s).
