Join the Zoom this morning to discuss figurative language. Some of it, like similes and metaphors you will already know, but today we will look at phrases to decide what type of figurative language it is.
Spelling
Complete your spelling test on spelling frame of 8 of the ough words so that we can see your score. Next week you will be tested on some more ough words so continue to practise ‘Y5/6 rule 46 – ough words’.
Reading
Today we begin an exciting new term, studying The Greeks. In this first week of lessons we will be focusing on learning about the Greek Gods and mythical stories and poems. We will begin with a poem called The Olympians. What is its purpose? Who is the audience? Why is this poem a good introduction to learn about the Gods?
Look at the power point, read the poem and answer the questions.
